The UK’s leading body for standards in green roofs and green walls GRO (Green Roof Organisation) is now independent of its former parent the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC). GRO is working on a new set of guidelines for the industry. GRO has established a board of directors drawn from the most influential green infrastructure companies in the UK, including Pritchard and Pritchard’s chief operations director, James Beattie.

GRO (Green Roof Organisation) has established a board of directors drawn from the most influential green roofing and walling manufacturers and installers in the UK, including Pritchard and Pritchard’s chief operations director, James Beattie, to advise on the new guidelines for green roofs and walls for the UK.
GRO, which recently became independent of its parent the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) has not updated the UK guidelines since 2014.
The GRO board of directors had their first meeting in February 2020 to discuss how to proceed with the new guidelines for the UK.
